About Ty

Ty Drinkard was born on August 31, 2004, and left his earthly home on June 21, 2020. For 15 beautiful years, family and friends were blessed to love, share, and cherish him. Ty was the light — a radiant soul welcomed into Heaven by his Heavenly Father and childhood friends.

A longtime resident of Perdido, Alabama, Ty was the pride and joy of his parents, Daphne Stamps (Marlin) and Tyler Drinkard. From the moment he arrived, he shone brightly, melting hearts with his wide smile, dimples, and playful spirit. An old soul, Ty valued authenticity, loved deeply, and spread joy wherever he went.

He adored his family, friends, and community, and he embraced life fully. Whether knee-deep in red dirt on a baseball field, hunting in the woods, fishing on the water, or tagging along with his Uncle Patrick, Ty lived every second to the fullest.

Since 2018, Ty proudly wore the Baldwin County High School baseball uniform, mentoring younger players and sharing his passion for the game. He was quick to lend his hat, glove, or advice if it meant lifting others up. Honored as Perdido’s Athlete of the Year, Ty also played travel ball for Blaze under the guidance of Coach Jamie Jaye. Those who watched him knew he was destined for greatness.

When Ty wasn’t on the field, he was outdoors — especially hog hunting with his best friend, Uncle Pat. His earthly light burned so brightly because he was meant to be a star. Though our hearts ache, they’re filled with memories and everlasting love. We find peace knowing our boy now shines as a star in God’s kingdom, playing in the biggest game of all.
